Hello, Vegas? Table for 20,000 please!

That’s right – You can meet us in few weeks at the G2E in Las-Vegas, as Shahar Attias, CEO of Hybrid Interaction will be speaking on the Online and Land-Based: Know Your Customer panel (Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 2 p.m.), as part of the daily Marketing Track.

Not really sure if it’s the right venue to attend? Well, it is the largest annual gambling convention, so that sort of self-explain why you should be there. In addition, it’s a Thomas-free event, as he will be busy taming lions. Oh, and we can also offer FREE exhibit hall passes to our readers! Contact us for details.

Already booked your tickets? Let us know! Comment right here below and let’s meet for a drink.

Come on, online gambling CRMers! Pack your highly moral values, and join the party… Tacatà!

PS: Yes – we will soon hit the 20K views mark. BRING THE NOISE.

Get your FREE Social Media Metrics Dashboard right here!

Wouldn’t you want to be like Joakim Nilsson? Yes, I know you would – most of you would kill to be as cool as he is.

And why is that? Because on top of being a known Social CRM expert – one of the sexist areas online at the moment (as you may have read in our sCRM Intro) – he was also nice enough to share with the rest of us his new social media metrics “dashboard.” Using it, you can begin to evaluate how effective your social media strategy is and what you might want to modify.

Basically, the dashboard is an Excel table (yeah!) in which you enter known quantities, such as number of your blog posts or tweets each a month, the interaction parameters (likes, shares, +1’s, or -1’s, in the case of Thomas) and the reach through the different social networks. He then suggests weight scores for each parameter based on his experience, which can calculate for you the following super important ratios: Continue reading

Hello, party people!  I’m sure most of you are either on vacation or grumpy because you’re the only one at your work place who’s NOT on vacation.

So we will try to keep it short this time, especially after a long and exhausting series as analyzing the Player Clubs of the leading U.S. bricks-and-mortar casinos (Clubathon Part #1Part #2Part #3Part #4, Part #5). That was one tough cookie :)

Our own Hybrid Interaction website just went through a massive makeover and now is fully compatible with mobile web displays on both the iPhone/iPad and Android platforms. Have a look: http://www.hybridinteraction.com Continue reading

Player Clubs Review: Part 5 of a 5-part series sure to inspire new Loyalty Schemes

Welcome to the 2012 Clubathon Olympics! In the previous parts (Part #1, Part #2, Part #3, Part #4) we analyzed the Player Clubs of several U.S. bricks-and-mortar casinos. Today we will award the medals to those who excel at the various categories, and laugh at this unforgettable performance from the Sidney games eight years ago. It’s like watching Thomas going through an annual budget meeting: It’s a never-ending process, he sweats and pants, and no matter who else is with him in the room – he will finish last. Even if he is by himself.

Player Clubs Review: Part 4 of a 5-part series sure to inspire new Loyalty Schemes

Ready for another chapter in our Clubathon series? In the previous parts (Part #1, Part #2, Part #3) we began analyzing the Player Clubs of several U.S. bricks-and-mortar casinos. We’ll now review our final group of loyalty programs, this time looking at programs mainly outside of Vegas. Next time we’ll wrap it up with a summary of the rankings, announcing the winners in each category, and having a good laugh at Thomas. That last action, however, may be dangerous, considering his experience as “Hush,” one of Batman’s arch-enemies. But hey, if you’ve ever seen his face and survived the trauma, you surely understand why we’ll take him wrapped in bandages any given day.

In this part of our series we will be reviewing the Player Clubs of Pinnacle Entertainment, Ameristar Casinos and Silverton.

Player Clubs Review: Part 3 of a 5-part series sure to inspire new Loyalty Schemes

“The bound of the horizon, a huge cliff,
As if with voluntary power instinct,
Upreared its head. I struck and struck again,
And, growing still in stature, the huge cliff
Rose up between me and the stars, and still,
With measured motion, like a living thing
Strode after me.”

William Wordsworth, The Prelude, 1799 (Translation for Thomas: “To infinity and beyond!”, Buzz Lightyear, Toy Story, 1995)

Reviewing the leading Player Clubs at U.S. bricks-and-mortar casinos (Part #1, Part #2Part #4Part #5) turns out to be a daunting undertaking. It reminds us of the haunting situation Wordsworth captured in the poem above. Yet we are full of resolve and nothing can break us, men of Excel, or impede our Clubathon venture as we strive forth to present our loyal readers with the most accurate and objective competitive landscape analysis. (I should clarify, however, that ridiculously large bribes will, in fact, steer us away from objectivity and point us in the general direction of fawning, boot-licking and endless praise.)

In this part of our series we will be reviewing the Player Clubs of MGM, Station Casinos and Stratosphere.
