Chairman’s Summary Notes

Captain’s Log, Stardate 3.14159: The London conferences were absolutely amazing. The participants reminded me of young kids during a sugar rush attack, just running around, trying to make the right contacts and gain competitive advantage, with all means are justified (and yes Thomas, you were there alright, but you somehow wore that body paint in a slightly less tactful manner … oh, the humanity!).

Again, many thanks to all of you who joined us at our networking party. You made it a fantastic night to remember. I mean, those of you who decided to skip it might indeed remember whatever you were actually doing that night, but those who actually showed up at the pub … well, let’s just say that iGaming CRM is a drink-friendly profession. And we are all professionals, aren’t we?

In fact, the day after the party we had an unusual record-breaking number of visits to our blog, 7-7-7!

Pictures from The Highly Moral London Affiliates Conference

After so many years in this great industry of ours, I thought nothing can surprise me anymore. Well – newsflash: the industry has matured. In fact, judging by the following images, it is now mature enough to be rated as an adult content industry… I mean – WTF? Considering the “scenery”, even I can’t recalling if I am in the picture or not :-)

Anyway, enjoy while we work on summarizing the key points from these latest London events (to be posted next Tuesday), and be sure to follow our blog posts by registering your email address at the relevant box (top right box).

AFF Time!

As stated in the past, ” Generally speaking, affiliates are nice people, so if you happen to meet a generally speaking affiliate – please be generally speaking nice right back at them. ”

So, much like Borat on his tour to the USA, I went ahead and checked it out for myself.

Want to say hi? Leave a post right here! Nice…

Damn… somebody WAS taking pictures!

What a night. Huge thumbs up for all of you who came over and made this unique evening, the first ever social event for CRM execs from the iGaming industry, as special as it was.

As a token of our appreciation, here are few photos of you guys, BEFORE you got wasted (rest are kept in a vault and will not be publicized unless we feel like it will be really really funny):

London Calling

Just saying hi from the biggest annual event of us highly moral people, in the heart of London (a highly moral place on its own…).

Will be running in between meetings, moderating the CRM Conference, and our networking party tomorrow’s evening, but if you are around and can take yet another beer – simply post a reply and I will find you.

As you know, it’s Five O’Clock Somewhere, if you know what I mean :)

Social CRM 2: NGR Perspective

Last week we posted the Intro into Social CRM, covering the effects of working in a social media environment: what they can mean to the business in general and especially to the customer facing operations.

Before we dive to any practical observations, let’s study the situation again: these days players have the ability to convey any kind of messages out in the world wide open web, as instantly as you would decline any jackpot winnings withdrawal (yes, yes – only until “conducting a further security investigation”…). The nature of these messages is mostly personal of course although once getting annoyed or overjoyed with a certain service, customers tend to share their experience with others. They may either LIKE it (no Thomas, not lick… and stop trying, only dogs can reach there!), or otherwise, they may sing about it on YouTube, warn peers on forums, or if needed, open groups on facebook dedicated to people like you. Social CRM Intro

This blog deals with Online Gambling CRM from its practical and retention marketing aspect: player development. However it has to be kept in mind that CRM is also a buzzword within the IT world (all those guys named Vadim who secretly read your emails, much like Playboy, “for the articles”). Social CRM is a new trend, allowing us to execute our marketing adoptions of some enhanced new technological features. In this post we will not cover any branded software solutions (god forbid – we might actually earn something out of promoting such services!), but focus mainly on the strategic concept of being social. No Thomas, not social like that… and please cover yourself up – you are not a smurf, yet some parts of you are getting blue.

So what is this SCRM all about? The shortest way to explain the differences (we really do know our audience, eh?) between regular CRM and SCRM is by analyzing the approach: while before we focused on “Contact Management”, now we switch to “Community Management”. Big Deal? Indeed. Continue reading

1/0 Game

Ever heard of Binary Options? They are considered to be the new kid on the iGaming block, and surprisingly enough – you can make money in this form of gambling as well, much like with online casinos. But let’s begin with explaining what’s a Binary Numeral System to those who are not geek as we are (i.e. have a living pulse…).

We normally use a Decimal System, in which the figures 0 – 9 are used in order to represent all the known numbers. In the binary version, you would use only 1 and 0, so the figure 9 would be written as 1001, 5 as 101, 3 as 11 (and 0 as Thomas).

Therefore, a Binary Option is a trading tool allowing the user to either pick if the price trend is going to go up (CALL) or down (PUT). Yes, had a sense that even with that bitching hangover lasting since New Year’s Eve, you would still be able to understand it.

In an article written for our fellow online gambling affiliates, we have tried – using very simple words, of course – to explain how the house advantage of such a Financial Trading vertical would work, what are the major KPIs, and why the hell they should care about Conversion and Retention, and also be focused at the CRM & LTV aspects of this yet another, highly moral activity: http://tinyurl.com/HI-AFF2
